Christmas!!!

We are going to be settling in to our new house and trying to sell our Tawa house by the way we live in Karori now. We're going between the two houses taking and cleaning stuff and putting them in our new house. Well our traditions we do is just decorate the tree and sit around it and listen to it's music because our lights flash and plays Christmas song tunes , this happens two days before Christmas and them on Christmas day we open all presents and play with them then we might go to peoples houses or stay at home.






Since this is my last blog post I want to say something I had trouble with and that was TIME Management and I sucked at it. I told Miss Bolger and she helped me and now I finish my tasks on Wednesday or Thursday. So if you start your tasks on Thursday you should probably start your longer tasks on Monday then the rest on Wednesday or Tuesday. That's all

OMG college!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm felling great about college because last Wednesday I had my interview at Wellington girls and ............ I GOT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


What I am  going to do next year is to make new friends and get good grades and be in the highest classes for all studies. I'm going to try to do all the sport activities and be a very helpful person. What I'm looking forward next year is the classes, my friends, the teaches and all the school sports and activities. The thing I might think will be challenging would be get into the top class for every subject but I will get there in the end.

So that's my plan for next year hope I will see most of my friends at WGC 

Speeches

Today I did my speech!!!!!!!!! Finally or not
I got sooooooooo nervous I mucked up but I recovered well and made everyone laugh (I think and hope) but apart from that I know I did really well.
My speech topic was about space well the stars the planets and what is space
My worst one was what is space.
I felt really nervous and there was no butterflies but parrots!!! that how nervous I was. But luckily I still had a smile on my face.
I though I would do way better than I hoped but after the muck up I had a good time and at least I did it.
I really enjoyed Xara's speech it's not because she's my Bestie it's because she is a really good speaker and I love her actions. I also enjoyed Aimee's because she had clear speaking and very clear points.

THE LAST APPRENTICE

The book i have recently finished is "The Last Apprentice" by Josef Delany.
This book has 4 parts in 1. The book is about 4 witchs trying to survive their village.
What I really like about this book because it is a mysterious and it is full of witches and demons.       (i love books with fantasy in it).
My favourite charater is the 4 main charaters in  the 4 parts their names are Meg Skelton,Dirty Dora, Alice,the Banshee Witch. But my favourite charater is Alice because she never give up and she is also trying to find her parents a get out of her aunties house who is a witch and is really mean. So that why she is my favourite book character and she is like me because I never give up on anything until I complete it.

Hi it's me!!!!

And speeches is in week 6 and I am excited for my speech. My speech is about..........Space well some bits about space. I am confident in myself and my speech. The one thing I need to work on is to have more gestures. There is also one more thing I need to work on which is to make eye contact.

What i have learnt in elections there are 120 MPs in Parliament. The Goverment is spelt out into70 groups and seven are Maori. The Youngest boy to be selected to be in the Parliament was Frederick when he was 18 and the youngster girl was Marilyn in her 20's.

i also now that the word Parler comes from France with means talking and in Parliament all the do is talk talk and more talking. 

Tennis, tennis and more tennis

What is the most funnest  sport well you might think it's netball but it's TENNIS. If you don't play tennis well I can make you love it and play it. In tennis you can have a partner or just you. In tennis you use both your hand fore hand is only when the ball comes to you on the right side and back hand . Tennis is a very energetic sport in tennis you can have fun as well as get fit. You will enjoy tennis because you can play fun tennis games and make new friends as well as learning new skills. I like tennis because I learn more than I used to k

now. I also like other sports but tennis is way better.

My meaningful song is "Hey Brother" by Avicii This song is about being there for each other, I believe.
where he starts with Hey Brother or Hey Sister, he is trying to tell or teach his brothers and sisters that something about their lives: brother, there is so much left to do in life and sister, know when you need to be serious.
and asking if they are still able to trust their love. For any other hard times coming up for his brothers and sisters, he is going to be there for them no matter what, obviously. The rest is they same as before.

I like it because it is like me and my brother saying to each other"Will you still remenber me when we get older". I always put my trust in my brother and he does the same with me.

Statistics Statistics Statistics

We were just learning in class about Statistics We have been doing the Mean, Median, Mode ,Range. Pie graphs Histograms box and whiskers grafts.

I have improved in doing
pie graphs
doing the mean 
median
mode
range and
angles.

I don't think I need to improve anything because I did all that in the lesson we did.

It helped me by understanding angles and knowing how we use the graph in different ways.
And how to do angles properly.

        

OPC is done and dusted

On OPC went really fun and Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! We did lots of activities like Caving, Flying fox, orienteering, abseiling, Overnight sleep, high ropes and  Canoeing/Kayak. We also got to meet our instructors for the week and group 3 was Tania's and she was really fun!!!!!

what I found most challenging was Caving because I had to deal with the wetas and their so creepy. YUCK!!!! The abseiling was scary at first but then it was a breeze and the Orienteering was a little hard but we managed.

I think I found the flying fox and the kayak and canoeing and the high ropes because at first I thought I looks hard but then on the high ropes my dad said "just see it as you are walking on flat ground"
so I listened to what my dad said and it worked I made it to the end of the log!!! and the bridge.
The kayak felt like it was going to tip over but it didn't we were still floating and the flying fox was so easy everybody did it!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't what I expected I thought it would be like yr 6 camp:-)

My proudest moment was the high ropes on the wobbly bridge because when I climbed up to the top and then I didn't even take a breath I just keeped going and when I got to the top a I went all the way to the end with a breeze and I was the only girl in my group who did it everybody did it but I walked across it and Elizabeth butt scooted across it and Rebecca did one tiny step and a time.

keep calm and swim

Hi again this is swimming and Ben k is leading swim aerobics and it was awesome I hope he does it again.

So what I am doing in swimming is doing water safety and we are learning how do survival  things like floating and what you do if you a stuck out at sea and doing lengths and doing survival backstroke. I am in water safety with maddy,aimee, Imogen ,Sam, Jarden ,Joseph R, Catherine C, Olivia,
I think I have been improving in swimming with the survival strokes.

So I Love doing swimming and it is super fun especially on my on my last day!!!!!!!!!


Yr 8 CAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi  guys I am going on yr 8 camp and I am  looking forward to doing all the activities and bunking with my cabin buddies.

I am most worried about is doing caving and leaving my mum and brother at home :(

I have almost got my gear ready and I still can't find socks and yeah so nearly all my gear is ready.

I am going great with my activities and the most hardest one is making my own lunch because my mum always make my lunch.

What things are different this year

there are more years 7 and less year 8 in this class and there is Different wallpaper and we have new laptops!!!!

My favourite thing so far is Doing dodge ball and the Kauri research ( I love Research)

Yes I have talk to people I would talk to like Claire (rm11),Sam B ,Tyler and most of the year 7 in both classes.

How are you coping with the task system

I am coping with the task system very well because I have improved with my time management and most of them I have done before.
